Syntax of Serbian language (1-4)
R. Simic and J. Jovanovic
2002. cyrillic, hard cover, p. 1424 & p. 1650, 24 cm
This masterpiece is representation of syntax of Serbian (Serbo-croatian) language, based on old and modern European and Slavs theory of syntax. Authors deal with the main problems such are those concerning the learning of sentence-groups and the learning in groups of the words, that is, with taxemic and tagmemic structures, or subordinate and coordinate structures of both type. A great attention is paid to the nature of sentence and its structural and functional features. In this context, authors primarily deal with predicative sentences, while unpredicative sentences were described, classified and characterized as special syntactical forms. On this ground complex structures are constructed out as products of ”condensation” of speech-chain. In the light of these analysis, authors try to explain a heterogeneous syntactical relations. In this purpose, historical and evolution linguistic perspective becomes much more interesting and productive, in a theoretical sense of course.
