The work contains an introduction dedicated to general nature of functional variants of language and their development. A sources of functional variant language structure are of the special social nature, which has its origin in so-called ”work theory” and ”work separation”. The question is whether the work theory of functional variant language structure may be taken as adequate explanation of functional styles?
